Setting Up and Managing Your Aqua One Device
How to Connect, Reassign, or Replace an Aqua One Device
To connect a new Aqua One device, begin by turning it on and following the setup instructions provided during onboarding. Make sure the device is connected to a strong Wi-Fi or mobile data network, as a stable internet connection is required for successful monitoring. You’ll need to sign up to your Parent Dashboard at app.cyberdive.co on your mobile browser and follow the prompts to complete the connection process.
To reassign the Aqua One to a new Parent Dashboard account, you must first deactivate the current account in your Parent Dashboard. Log in to your Parent Dashboard, go to Settings, then tap Manage Devices and scroll down to select Deactivate Aqua One. Once the account is deactivated, it is now ready for reassignment. You can now perform a factory reset on the device by going to Settings > System > Reset Options > Erase all data (factory reset) and confirming the reset. After this, anyone can set up their own account for a new Parent Dashboard and onboard the device to a different account.
If you're replacing an old Aqua One smartphone, first back up your child's data. Then log into the dashboard, tap Manage Devices, and pick "Connect Replacement." Enter the 5-digit code displayed on your child's new phone to finish setup.
Inserting and Removing the SIM Card
Most phones have the same streamlined process to insert or remove SIM cards. First turn off the Aqua One smartphone before beginning the process. Find the card tray on the side of the device, and use a tool or paperclip to press into the tiny hole. Gently slide the tray out, remove or insert the card, and slide it back. Then turn the phone on.
When and How to Restart or Reset Your Device
To restart the phone, press and hold the Power button and Volume Up button at the same time. Tap “Restart” when the menu pops up. The phone will turn off and come back on.
If the device is frozen, press and hold Power and Volume Up together for 10–20 seconds. That forces a restart and helps fix small issues.
Keeping Your Parent Dashboard Updated and Synced
How to Update Your Dashboard and Sync Child Activity
The Parent Dashboard updates on its own as long as your child’s phone has a strong internet connection. If your dashboard is not updating social media apps or Online Activity, you can try to log out, then sign in again. This helps the app sync with new data to ensure you are up to date on your child’s online activity.
Make sure your child’s Aqua One stays connected to Wi Fi or data. Without it, the monitor features may not update correctly. If you are still having issues, please contact Customer Care on your Parent Dashboard, we’re happy to help!
Updating or Changing Your Child’s Google Account
Before beginning, ensure you back up your child’s current Gmail account for no data loss. To change your child's account email, open Settings on the device and tap “Google.” Click on your child’s current Gmail account at the top and go to “Manage your Google Account.” Tap ‘Add another account’ or ‘Manage accounts on this device’. You can then change your Google email address.
If applicable, check your email inbox and confirm the new address with the link from Google Services. That’s it!
Troubleshooting Common Device and Dashboard Issues
Why Activity Might Not Be Showing on the Dashboard
If you're having trouble with real-time monitoring on your child’s Aqua One, start by checking the internet connection. The phone needs an active connection through mobile data to function properly, so make sure it’s connected. If everything looks fine but issues continue, try restarting the Aqua One. A simple reboot can often fix connectivity or app tracking problems by refreshing the device’s settings.
Next, check the storage capacity. If the device is close to using up its 128GB of space, it may stop recording activities. Freeing up space can help ensure that monitoring continues smoothly. You can also use Google Family Link services like Google One for extra cloud storage.
If you’ve tried these steps and the issue still isn’t resolved, head to your Parent Dashboard and connect with one of our Customer Care agents. We’re here to help and will work with you to fix the problem as quickly as possible.
Fixing App Issues and Nudity Prevention Alert Lockouts
If you're experiencing issues with app performance or trying to unlock your child’s Aqua One with Nudity Prevention enabled, there are a few important steps to follow. First, always ensure the device is connected to a strong and stable internet signal. Without it, the device may not unlock.
For unlocking the device with Nudity Prevention, have your child follow these steps: connect to the internet, tap the three dots in the top right corner of the lock screen, and select “Send Unlock Code.” Once the code is sent, provide it to your child so they can unlock the phone. If needed, they can also tap “Resend code” to get a new one.
If an app is glitching, restart the device, clear the app’s data in Settings > Apps > Storage, then check the Google Play store for updates. If needed, delete and reinstall the app. Also, check for a system update under Settings > Software Update.
How to Reinstall Monitoring Services
If you’ve deactivated your Aqua One device and want to reinstall Cyber Dive’s monitoring services, you can easily get started again by following a few simple steps. First, reset the Aqua One device to its factory settings. To do this, go to Settings > System > Reset Options > Erase all data (factory reset), and confirm the reset. This will wipe the device and return it to its original state.
Once the reset is complete, you’ll need to create your own account in the Parent Dashboard app. Follow the on-screen instructions to onboard the device and reconnect it to Cyber Dive’s monitoring services. This process will ensure the Aqua One is fully set up for safe and effective use again.
Managing Your Cyber Dive Account and Data
How to Permanently Delete Your Data
If you want to permanently delete your Aqua One account and all your personal data from Cyber Dive’s system, log into your Parent Dashboard and head to your Settings. There you can tap “Update profile” where there will be text highlighted in red at the bottom of the page labeled ‘Delete Account.’ Follow the steps on screen to confirm.
Deleting your account erases all your data and can not be undone. Your Aqua One will revert into a regular smartphone without Cyber Dive's tools.
Deactivating Your Cyber Dive Account
To stop using Cyber Dive’s monitoring services, open the Parent Dashboard app, go to Settings > Manage Devices, and tap “Deactivate Aqua One.” That will remove monitoring and return the device to normal.
