Inserting or removing the SIM card on the Aqua One is straightforward and only takes a minute. Follow the steps below to do it safely without damaging the device.
What you'll need
The SIM eject tool included in your Aqua One box (or a small paperclip as an alternative)
Your SIM card
Steps to insert or remove the SIM card
Power off the phone before starting. Never insert or remove a SIM card while the device is on, as this can cause data errors.
Locate the SIM card tray on the side of the Aqua One. It's a small slot with a tiny pinhole next to it.
Insert the SIM eject tool (or paperclip) into the pinhole and press gently until the tray pops out.
Place your SIM card into the tray, making sure it's aligned correctly with the notched corner matching the tray.
Slide the tray back in firmly until it clicks into place.
Power the phone back on and wait for it to detect the SIM card. This usually takes less than a minute.
Using an eSIM instead?
The Aqua One also supports eSIM, which means you can activate a cellular plan digitally without a physical SIM card. Contact your carrier for instructions on setting up an eSIM on the Google Pixel 9.
