Aqua One Offline: What Happens?

The Aqua One requires an active internet connection to sync activity to your Parent Dashboard. Learn what happens to monitoring when your child's phone goes offline.

The Aqua One requires an active internet connection β€” either Wi-Fi or mobile data β€” to sync your child's activity to your Parent Dashboard in real time. When the device goes offline, monitoring updates will pause until connectivity is restored.

What happens when Aqua One loses its connection?

If your child's phone loses its internet connection, their activity will not appear on your Parent Dashboard until the device reconnects. Once a stable connection is re-established, the Aqua One will automatically sync any activity that occurred while it was offline, so you won't permanently miss anything β€” it just may appear with a slight delay.

Why does monitoring require an internet connection?

The Aqua One's monitoring software captures your child's device activity and securely transmits it to Cyber Dive's servers, where it becomes available to you through the Parent Dashboard. Without an internet connection, there is no way for that data to travel from the device to your dashboard.

Tips for staying connected

  • Make sure your child's Aqua One is added to your home Wi-Fi network so it connects automatically when at home.

  • If your child uses mobile data, confirm they have an active SIM card and data plan with their carrier.

  • If monitoring gaps appear frequently, check your child's network settings to ensure no apps are restricting background data usage.

If you have ongoing connectivity concerns, our Customer Care team is available through your Parent Dashboard to help troubleshoot.
